You might be interested in joining the Sawyer R/C Flyers club but before you do, it’d be great if you would come over and check us out. The Sawyer R/C Flyers field is only open when a club member is present but if you check out the forum you can probably arrange a time to get there with one of our full members. We have a gate at the entrance which is closed when no members are at the field so it’s best to set up a time.
On any given weekend day that is flyable you can probably find folks at the field earlier in the day, you’re more than welcome to come down and spectate and maybe bring an aircraft with you to show us what you’re into. If you’re not sure about coming out to the field, come anyways! Not everyone is a social butterfly but that shouldn’t keep you from finding a good place to fly and growing friendships that can last a lifetime.

The monthly Sawyer R/C Flyers meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. We meet at 7:00 PM at the Saugerties Senior Center at 203 Market Road, Saugerties, NY 12477 (map) (and the cross road is Robinson St.) The meeting may be canceled for various reasons or the day or location may change if required so please check here for any updates before coming. When you get to the meeting just tell someone you’re a first time visitor and they’ll get you going.
